As the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Sharjah celebrate innovation during this UAE Innovation Week, American University of Sharjah will use the opportunity to showcase several innovative projects. A selection of recent projects conducted by AUS faculty and students will be exhibited at the Sharjah Expo Center where the UAE Innovation Week will be officially celebrated in the emirate of Sharjah November 20-26, 2016.

Faces of AUS is American University of Sharjah (AUS) community platform that began in March 2015, as an initiative to encourage the AUS community to get to know each other better. The idea behind the site is that when people talk about themselves, they give the other community members an insight to who they are, and a chance for the rest of the AUS community to know them better. The stories could then be conversation starters or ice-breakers to help members of the AUS community to engage more with each other, know each other better and be there for each other when needed. Sheraa expands its work-space as the center works to boost entrepreneurship

The American University of Sharjah (AUS) has one of the best libraries in the region.  It provides collections, services and programs to support the curricular and research needs of the university community.

The majority of the AUS library's growing physical collection of 140,000 items is in English; the library provides access to over 200,000 electronic books and there are also many materials available in Arabic. The library’s website can be used to search for library materials from any location on or off campus. At library.aus.edu students and faculty can access e-books, online databases, full-text journals and other digital resources.

AUS Alumna on a mission to ‘heal and rescue’ animals

The beautiful Golden Retriever that was found on campus last week has been re-homed. We want to thank our very own American University of Sharjah Alumna Parmis Nadali, an avid animal healer and rescuer. Nadali, with her team, were the ones who found and rescued the Retriever, took him to The City Vet in Dubai and worked out to re-home him.
