Dr. Alnaser’s work is also the first original scientific research from the UAE to be published in Nature Communications, a prestigious multidisciplinary scientific journal. Reviewers lauded the paper and one suggested that it would open up new perspectives in this important field.

The research reports the development of a novel experimental technique that enables the steering and controlling of chemical bonds inside hydrocarbon molecules on an unprecedented time scale.

Essentially, this means using lasers to understand how diseases like cancer work at their most fundamental level.

Laser technology is proving to be an extraordinary tool for medical professionals as they treat different types of ailments. From brain surgery to mammography and even dentistry, lasers are making a difference for patients.
