The Office of Student Affairs’ Spring 2014 Club Fair on February 17-18, 2014 celebrated the cultural diversity found at AUS and introduced new students to cultural and interest-oriented clubs.

Acting Chancellor Dr. Thomas Hochstettler and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Dr. Moza Al Shehhi inaugurated the event in the presence of other senior university officials at the Student Center.

“This is a good start to the semester. Our students’ enthusiasm is reflected in their creativity expressed through the various activities and exhibits on offer,” said Dr. Al Shehhi.

The 68 clubs participating in the event competed for the Best Stall Award, which was ultimately shared by the Emirati Cultural Club and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

On the second day, many participants took part in a spontaneous set of traditional dances, featuring many Palestinian Cultural Club members.
